Helios is a native Swift app for browsing, posting to, and moderating Reddit on Apple devices. It's built with Apple's Liquid Glass design language and modern APIs, so it looks and feels right at home on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, with features not found in the official Reddit app.

Which devices does Helios support?

Helios runs on iPhone, iPad with a desktop-class multi-column layout, and Apple Watch. The watchOS app is fully standalone, it works even when you leave your iPhone at home. A native Mac app is coming soon.

How is Helios different from the official Reddit app?

Helios is a faster, native experience with a full Markdown composer, powerful moderation features, multi-account support, customizable themes, Home Screen widgets, a fully standalone Apple Watch app, and privacy-first design, plus quality-of-life touches like the ignore list or recently read posts.

Can I moderate my communities with Helios?

Yes. Moderators get Unmoderated, Reports, Spam, and Edited queues; can approve, remove, lock, and sticky posts; view the moderation log; access the AutoModerator config, and all other mod tools you are familiar with.

Does Helios support multiple accounts?

Absolutely. Add as many accounts as you like and switch between them instantly with the built-in account switcher.

Can I customize how Helios looks?

Helios was built with customization in mind. You can create your own themes, or use the default dynamic mode which adapts the app's appearance to the subreddit you're browsing. Aside from theming, you can also customize the layout, the order of UI components, and left- or right-handed mode.

Is Helios secure and private?

Yes. Helios is a robust, security-minded native app. Your credentials stay on-device and it talks directly to Reddit's official API.

Are there Home Screen widgets?

Yes. Add a widget that shows a random post from a chosen or recommended subreddit in small, medium, or large sizes. Tap it to jump straight into the post; it refreshes automatically.

How do I open Reddit links in Helios?

A Safari extension lets you open reddit.com links directly in Helios, and the app supports a helios:// URL scheme plus QR-code sharing and scanning of user profiles.
